Re: pp pro and iridium

If you don't want to take credit cards thru pp just shut off pro and use PP express checkout. You still get the PayPal button but not the credit card box for pp

Re: pp pro and iridium

Yes when some one checks out with paypal express an account is automatically created for them. If you already have a merchant account for credit cards no need to pay paypal the extra $30 a month for pro.

Re: pp pro and iridium

Simple answer? No. PayPal Pro is meant for using Credit Cards.

Re: pp pro and iridium

That will not give you regular PayPal payments without your customers leaving your site - PayPal just doesn't work that way. If you just want to accept PayPal payments, then use the PayPal Standard (IPN) module.

Re: pp pro and iridium

Clarification:

What you refer to as "pp pro" is probably PayPal Website Payments Pro -- which is a credit card processing gateway.
Iridium is a credit card processing gateway.
PayPal Payflow Pro is a credit card processing gateway.
All the above gateways keep the customer on your site while they enter their payment information.

PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal Website Payments Standard allow customers to checkout using their own PayPal funds or their bank account funds, or a credit card, but they temporarily leave your site to provide payment details, and then return when finished.
