on another site of mine, i could enable 8 shipping zones but on this new store i created, despite changing the variable below to 8, i still see only 3 zones.

/includes/ modules/ shipping/ zones.php

   // CUSTOMIZE THIS SETTING FOR THE NUMBER OF ZONES NEEDED
  $this->num_zones = 3;
}

in fact, i copied the zones.php from the working site to replace the one in the new site but still same results. both installations btw, are zen cart 1.38.

anything else i need to check for?

i'm pulling my hair out! (whatever's left of it...)

You must completely REMOVE the module before you change this setting in the php file. (go to the module in your admin console and click REMOVE...)

But remember... if you REMOVE the module, you will lose all your configurations for shipping costs...

... SO, you must copy+paste these configurations into a notepad file, so you can copy+re-paste them back into their zones later, once you have made the changes.

After you have REMOVED the module, change the setting in the php file.

Then, INSTALL the module.

Use copy+paste to bring back your configurations for shipping in each zone...

after removing and re-installing the zone rate setting, everything's fine now.
