store suddenly charging shipping for downloads

Hi everyone. My web store suddenly started charging shipping for downloads after about a year of being up and not having this issue. As far as I know nothing has been changed that should affect this. What are some things I can check to see what is causing this?

Something somewhere had to have been changed - the program doesn't just "break" - What mods have you added? Has your host changed? What settings have you changed?

No mods were added in the past several months, and everything worked fine after the addition of the mods. Nothing has changed as far as host or anything. As far as I know, no settings have been changed. I have checked through the attributes and product listings and everything but don't see anything wrong, which is why I asked what settings might be able to cause this?

Weight on a Product or the Attribute will charge shipping ...

Missing Download Filename on the Attribute ...

Adding Product to Cart without adding the Attribute ...

But, as Kim indicated, code doesn't re-write itself so it sounds like something has changed on your site ...

This use to work ... does this not work with ALL products?

What shipping method(s) are you using?

Can you reproduce this issue consistantly?

Without seeing your site it is kind of hard to guess at all of the possible causes ... :unsure:
