Mpn error when uploading to googlebase

First of all I would like to introduce myself Andy, I own https://www.gamebitz.co.uk. I wondered if anybody has any experience with the following:-

I use googlebase feeder to export all my items via FTP when i do this i get an error message saying :-

Warning: Missing recommended attribute: mpn

While items missing recommended attributes will process successfully, we recommend including relevant attributes if they are available.

First of all when you get this message you jump for joy thinking google may have radically helped you in some crazy way only to c lick on the inactive items button in googlebase to find out they have dissaproved all your items for the reasson above.

Second I take it the MPN stands for Model Product Number, which you can find in zencart admin panel in catalog/categories/products/ underneath the html description box of your items ?

Also does this MPN have to exactly match a certain database could I make a reference number up for my own purposes sacrificing that products wont be found in google using MPN as i only no the reference number ?

Thanks For Your Help.

Andy.

Re: Mpn error when uploading to googlebase

I just got the same thing today, I had used the ezpopulate to download the database as Froggle and tried that the first time - FAIL - ;)

So I hand modified the text in excel, and strightened it out, yeah the mpn value was empty, the example they showed didn't not mpn as anything useful (that I could figure out)

The best way is to export the database and upload it again after modifying it.
