Truncate instead of wrap category names in sidebox

Is there any way to truncate category names displayed in the categories sidebox, rather than wrap?

Might be better to widen the column and/or learn to shorten/abbreviate your category names

I try to name my categories the same name the manufacturer used - so if folks search online for that particular set of products, they'll find me. Some are pretty long, and I don't want to widen any more than I have (250). I was hoping I could just truncate in the sidebox, but keep my long name.

The Search engines do not specifically look for the human readable description.....
You can make this long name part of your meta description so you will be found and shorten it for easier, better look on your site
