How do i stop someone uploading huge .bmp images for product and category images

I want to prevent them uploading .bmps completely
and I also want to limit the image upload size to around 100Kbs at most

but I can't find the switch to do this

anyhelp would be appreciated

How do i stop someone uploading huge .bmp images for product and category images
admin > config > maximum values > Maximum File Upload Size > edit size

Also, place directions in plain english on your site

Re: Produc/Category Image - limiting image size and type

Hi Cobra, i did see those but I assumed they would only effect customers, We don't allow uploading by customers, it's more a case that the admin tends to forget to resize images or else resizes them to bmps, which tend to be larger than the original image.

Oh well
