gift certificates--how to remove from account?

When I issue a gift certificate I go to the "mail gift certificate" section, fill out the info and send it.

Then I am left with NOT being able to DISABLE the gift certificate from that acccount.

I have had some that have donated their codes to another person...that is fine but there is this one that the gift certificate did not work at all. She ended up paying for her items.

I gave her another one but can't remove the first one...is it something I need to do from the database?

How do I remove a gift certificate, there is no column for removing or a delete button.

Also why do the "discount coupons" from that section not work at all.

Did you have any luck on resolving this issue? We are facing a very similar issue and would like to get this fixed.

through the admin section....NO

no helpful mod made either---would be greatly appreciated for some kind of code to have inserted somewhere in the files would be nice too

what I have finally resorted to is going to admin/gift certificates sent, write down the code for the one(s) you want to remove

then go to your database and remove the numbers from your coupons table

that was the only workaround I found to do.
