Tax not working

Ver 1.3.8a New install with Furture_zen temp installed. I've read a a few posts and check my config over and all appears OK and it makes no difference on what way I set it if I try to run a sale with a Michigan address ( where the store is located) it will not calculate and add the sales tax. :dontgetit

I FINALLY just figured the same thing out on my site ( as long as it's the same problem). When you're at the location/taxes--Zone Definitions click on the folder you want then click on details on the right side next to edit and delete. And set up your state zone that way.

Sorry it took so long to get back.
Yes I had read through the Zen-cart manual and a number of things on the site and everything was correctly set.
In response to the second reply you may have found something there. I tried what you suggested. Deleted my state folder and recreated the folder over again the way you said. It works... out of state does not charge and in state now does. Thank you very much.
