Set width in Firefox, Fluid in IE?

I've read through lots of threads about troubleshooting differences between Internet Explorer and Firefox. Last night, I was fiddling around with having a fluid template. I changed my main wrapper width to 100%. The template was fluid in both firefox and IE, as expected. I decided not to have a fluid template and changed the width back to 1000px. In Firefox and Chrome, things look great. In IE7, the template is still fluid. I've cleared my cache and even checked on IE on three different computers and the width is still 100% on all of them. Any suggestions? Unfortunately, I can't give a link to the site since the client does not want his products seen quite yet.

I know this sounds a bit basic BUT it happened to me as the thought never crossed my mind...

There isnt a seperate IE stylesheet is there? I used a template to get started and mine had that?

No, but I should also disclose that it's a template monster template I'm using. I think I'm just going to upload my back up files and try this again.
