Can't set the CVV number in payment module

In the Offline credit card processing, in the payment module, It has a field for collecting the CVV (CRV) number. I have selected it "true" multiple times and it is not sticking. Everything else seems to work fine. BTW, I did a search on this in the forum, but nothing shows up even though I know I have stumbled across references to this in other threads.

I have installed the module again, thinking it might reboot .. but still not working. any other ideas?

I love it when I get to answer my own questions. Turns out that other areas of the Admin had non-sticking input as well. In stead of looking for CVV issues I searched for non-sticking data and found the thread about the security patch update being installed incorrectly. In my case I had missed the html_output.php. I reinstalled the patch and all is well.
