Add product description to the shopping cart?

I would like to add the product description to my shopping cart. I'll have to truncate it, and display maybe only the first 20 characters. How can I add it? I've searched admin, and don't see it as an option.

You could use the function from the functions_lookups.php for:

/*
 * Return products description, based on specified language (or current lang if not specified)
 */
  function zen_get_products_description($product_id, $language = '') {

NOTE: you may want to use to clean out HTML etc.:

zen_trunc_string(zen_clean_html(stripslashes(zen_get_products_description($listing->fields['products_id'], $_SESSION['languages_id']))), PRODUCT_LIST_DESCRIPTION));

NOTE: $listing->fields['products_id'] would be replaced with the proper variable for where you want to use this ...

NOTE: PRODUCT_LIST_DESCRIPTION would be replaced with the length that you want to get ...
