show manufacturer in confirmation email

Hi everyone,
I have a few products (wines) with the same product name (pinot blanc for example) and will love to avoid shipping the wrong wine...
is there a way to show the product manufacturer in the confirmation email?

You can customize the order.php class where the email is built to add the additional information that you need ...

Has anyone actually done this? would also love to have this but am getting lost in the orders.php file

I tried to insert in the "build output for email notification" section the following string:
($this->products[$i]['manufacturer'])
but it does not seem to be working... any hint?

The orders_products table has no information about the manufacturer ... :eek:

However ... you can obtain the information by using a look-up for this based on the products_id ...

You will see the line:

      $this->products_ordered .=  $this->products[$i]['qty'] . ' x ' . $this->products[$i]['name'] . ($this->products[$i]['model'] != '' ? ' (' . $this->products[$i]['model'] . ') ' : '') . ' = ' .

On that line, or near there you will want the manufacturers_name which you can get with the function zen_get_products_manufacturers_name ...

Thank you for that information it certainly beats my masochistic database querying quasi-solution, I've finally got this functioning.
