brand new

Hi guys,
Im wanting to install zen cart on my pc and host it locally on my pc so I can just play around with it and see if its what im looking for.
Is there a guide or another thread someone can point me to please to give me some step by step instructions to get a basic install working.

this part of the forum is great - read as many of the posts as you can -
You will have to install xampp first, and go thru some adjustments. I have been posting on the 'install on the pc' and there is some tips I have been getting from the zenned crowd.

so dont install zencart wihtout the other first
after you have installed the xampp there is a 9 step about installing zencart inthe thread I mentioned.

Every time I try to install zen cart and input my database I created with the username and p/w my apache server stops working...
im using wampserver btw..
Any suggestions?

OK figured it out just got a diff version of wampserver... lets see how far I go now! =P
