What is my site's default page?

I'm using Google analytics and they are asking me to specify the default page for my site on my server. Right now I have index.php for my default page (from my old Oscommerce site). What should this be changed to? index_default.php and tpl_index_default.php does not work (gives me a 404 in site overlay).

Any ideas?

Re: What is my site's default page?

If you type in Browser "domain.com" it will automatically show your Default or Home page.

Re: What is my site's default page?

If you have Zen Cart installed in the root directory, the default page should still be index.php.

Hmmm if that's the case then that isn't the problem. I still have index.php set as my default page in Analytics... any ideas?

BTW domain.com is a company website... not the type of tool you mentioned.

I believe what Website Rob is suggesting is typing your domain name into your browser without index.php or index.html at the end and watching what loads. It should tell you the name of the default page as it loads.

Re: What is my site's default page?

If Zen Cart is installed in a sub-directory then add that to the URL.

domain.com/zencart_dir/

Index page for Zen Cart should be shown which should be an 'index.php' page.

Re: What is my site's default page?

Ahhh That was it! I have a public_html directory... so my sites home page would be public_html/index.php. This fixed my problem.

You guys think it's safe to move delete all those folders and move my site to the root? Any possible implications?

Re: What is my site's default page?

If your entire site is to use Zen Cart then yes, better to move everything to Document Root.

Re: What is my site's default page?

As Website Rob said, if Zen Cart is replacing your current site, move it to the root.
