Elavon and National Merchant Bancard Review

Greetings,

I am starting to work on a new site for my wife's artisan jewelry business and am debating my options for the merchant processing account and gateway. I am down to either Elavon or National Merchant Bancard. With Elavon, I have two options: to use their Virtual Merchant as my gateway or to go through Authorize.net. What has everyone's experiences been with these providers? Any one easier to setup than the others? Any hidden fees? Any suggestions? Please pm with with your thoughts. I appreciate all suggestions.

Thanks,
Tobyn

Re: Elavon and National Merchant Bancard Review

National Merchant Bancard, which is one of the recommended payment gateway partner services, provides quick turnaround on account activation, reduced fees, and quick easy setup to get you ready to go using the Authorize.net gateway. Using them also helps support the Zen Cart project at no cost to you. We've already negotiated reduced rates so you benefit from that right away!

Elavon is the old Nova system (note: El"avon" spelled backwards). There are some forum discussions about peoples' experiences with reliability of that service, both on this website and on search engines.

Sorry, I probably should have posted that by PM.*
