Easy Populate not so Easy

Hello Everyone.

Thanks for the great site. I am trying to install an easy populate program (easy_populate_csv_1-2-5-5-csv-2) I really just can't get the thing going at all. Most of the questions in the forum are based on situations that are further along than I am. I am very new to this game. Is there an idiots set of instrucions for someone like me?

I am trying to make it so i can add products from an excel sheet. I save the products with the csv extention.

Any ideas before I jump off a bridge??!!!:frusty:

Re: Easy Populate not so Easy

Thank you....

I keep recieving this error when launching the EP script.

Warning: main(includes/application_top.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/localmis/makemyhousegreen.com/zen-cart-v1.3.8a-full-fileset-12112007/EPadmin/easypopulate.php on line 105

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/application_top.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php/PEAR:/usr/local/share/pear') in /hsphere/local/home/localmis/makemyhousegreen.com/zen-cart-v1.3.8a-full-fileset-12112007/EPadmin/easypopulate.php on line 105

Does something need to be edited in the script? If so, What?

Thank you guys very much!!

Re: Easy Populate not so Easy

You may have copied the files in the admin/includes folder but ignored the one in the root. I've done that a couple times

admin/includes/easypopulate.php. Also copy all the files again and make sure you have the tempEP folder too. D

Did you get the install prompt when you went to Easy Populate?

Re: Easy Populate not so Easy

Easy Populate did not show up in Admin-Tools. If I copy all files to root it will overwrite license.txt on file on Server.
