Is it possible to remove the <table> from tpl_main_page?

Hi I've got a question to ask of some of the more advanced Zencart users here.

Is it possible to remove the <table> commands from pages such as the tpl_main_page.php and replace them with <div> commands?

The reason I'm asking this is I prefer using <div> instead of <table> and I feel it gives me more control in my layouts.

If I do this and replace lines such as below

<td id="navColumnOne" class="columnLeft" style="width:152px">

with

<div id ="navColumnOne" class="columnLeft">

And of course in the CSS file I'd tell the navcolumn class and columleft class all their needed information etc.

Would that work? Or is it going to need alot more editing of files other then that particular one?

But it isn't so simple that <div> take the place of <table> by this way.

If you are similar to DIV to design your layout, please redesign the layout.
