Display banners on main page only?

I would like to display some banners on the main page only and not on any of the product pages or info pages. Can this be done? I can't see to find a way to control this.

If you want something displayed only on the main page, I would recommend using Tools > Define Pages Editor > Define Main Page.

I am not sure of any way to keep banners on main page only. However, if you create mapped images and upload them to the main page, it could be like banners. They would just be in the center of the page. Sorry, but that is the only suggestion I have. You might try browsing the add-ons or maybe someone else might know of a way to make banners show on main page only.

$this_is_home_page will tell you if you are on the Home Page or Main Page of your site when it is true ...

You should be able to use that to customize the banners for when they display ...

if ($this_is_home_page == true) {
  // do something
} else {
  // do something else
}
