site listings in search engines

Hi All,

I hope someone can help me with some general questions about site listings on the internet, (Please excuse my ignorance)

1/ Is it usual to have more than just your home page listed, as my returns and site map are listed separately.

2/ How do I change the title of the listed page, as mine say 'Zan Cart' The Art of E Commerce!

3/ How do I add meta tags to my home page or site in general (that someone searching the internet will see)

Thanks,

Mike

Search engines will index all pages they find & choose to. Pages can be blocked from indexing by using a noindex Meta tag. Ideally shipping, returns and other ancillary pages should be blocked from indexing, as they provide no value to searcher.

The Zen Cart info in your tags is edited in includes/languages/english/yourtemplate/meta-tags.php
