Godfather/Godson coupons

Hello Everybody,

Is there anything existing (add-on, mod,thread I couldn't find) for giving to a customer the possibility to sponsor a godson and then automatically be eligible for a coupon when godson enters an order ?

Thanks in advance,

Could you type a little slower ... I am not a fast reader ... :cool:

If you could expand on this with more detail, someone can probably answer your question better ...

Re: Godfather/Godson coupons

Well.... :blush:
I can try to reformulate.

I would like my shop to propose to registered customers a sponsoring program :

  1. Registered customer A uses 'tell a friend' page to recommend the shop to a friend B.
  2. When friend B registers to the shop and make his first order, then customer A gets a gift.

Is is better now ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Godfather/Godson coupons

That would definitely require some custom coding to track the referal code and then provide the gift ...

Is the gift just something that you want to manage manually or is this something where Customer A gets the free gift through checkout once customer B makes the first order?

What happens on the next referral? Is there a different Free gift or how are these selected?

What if I have 10 friends and they all order, how do I get the 10 gifts or is there just 1 gift or a selection of gifts?

Are the gifts regular products that could be purchased?

When I get the free gift is the shipping free as well?

Re: Godfather/Godson coupons

I am looking for something very similar

Ajeh:

Is the gift just something that you want to manage manually or is this something where Customer A gets the free gift through checkout once customer B makes the first order?

Once customer B makes a purchase, I want customer A to receive a $10 credit in their account - NOT a coupon where they would have to enter a code. I want this to be automatically credited to customer A account when customer B makes their first purchase.

[QUOTE=Ajeh;763911]

Credit to account for first purchase only for each friend. 10 friends who all make their first purchase = (10) $10 account credits - $100 total

I want to restrict the number of credits that can be used at one time based on the number of items purchased. (1) $10 credit may be used for 1 item, (2) $10 credits can be used if they purchase 2 items, (3) $10 credits can be used if they purchase 3 items.. etc.

Thanks in advance for any comments/help
Nate

Re: Godfather/Godson coupons

Hello,

I saw the parameter : "Customers Referral Status" in the Configuration menu of admin page.

*Set if a customers referral code is created, and if so, how it is created. Once the customers referral code has been set it can only be changed in the Customer Admin.
Options are:

        * 0 = Off
        * 1 = 1st Discount Coupon Code used
        * 2 = Customer can add during create account or edit if blank

Default: 0*

Would you have more details about how it works.
Thanks and regards

Re: Godfather/Godson coupons

That is more a reference code that can be used on either the Create Account or from the first Discount Coupon used so that a new customer can indicate how they came to the shop ...

Once the customer enters the Referral Code or their first Discount Coupon, this cannot be changed ...

You can then look at the Reports for the Customer Referral and it will show how much was used for the time period by the Referral Code ...

If you only want the amount for the first order of a customer using the Referral Code, you may need to customize this report as it will give you the amount used each month.
