Zone shipping charging rate from zone 3 to zone 1

I have just sold some items and when looking at the order, zone shipping has charged the zone 3 (international rate) to a zone 1 customer. I live in Canada and Zone 1 is Canada and Zone 3 is outside North America. I have checked and the zones are correct as well as the charges per weigh in each of the zones. Any suggestions why this might have happened and has anyone else had a similar problem?

Re: Zone shipping charging rate from zone 3 to zone 1

Could you also post your settings for the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ...

And could you give an example of the weight that you are trying to ship and what you are getting on the charges vs what you think you should be getting?

Here is what is showed for the shipping charges on the invoice. Only other thing strange is that no zone showed (No CA)where it did on previous and has on subsequent invoice

Wrong one - Zone Rates (Shipping to (1 x 0.35lb(s))): $10.00 USD

Correct subsequent one - Zone Rates (Shipping to CA (1 x 0.05lb(s))): $3.00 USD

Re: Zone shipping charging rate from zone 3 to zone 1

NOTE: Your Maximum Weight is set to 20 ... yet you have higher weight calculations ... be sure to test those later ...

You have me confused here ...

You show two different weights and two different prices:

Wrong one - Zone Rates (Shipping to (1 x 0.35lb(s))): $10.00 USD

Correct subsequent one - Zone Rates (Shipping to CA (1 x 0.05lb(s))): $3.00 USD

Are you sure these were for the same weight and for Canada?

Also, remove the trailing comma on your countries on the Zones ... that should not be there ...

I also have your settings working on my site ... but I have to recheck to make sure that in cleaning up the spaces and line breaks that I did not fix something ...

Re: Zone shipping charging rate from zone 3 to zone 1

Hi
The wrong one was for one order shipped to Canada that had no CA for zone and calculated the cost incorrectly. The correct one was for a totally different(subsequent) order with a different weight also sent to Canada that calculated the shipping correctly. I just included both of these to show the one that calculated incorrectly and had the actual zone shipped to missing..

Re: Zone shipping charging rate from zone 3 to zone 1

Works for me on your shop ...

Shipping to CA (1 x 0.35lb(s))

This could be a bad address being tested as you do have issues on the create account with the stylesheet ...

You need to fix your stylesheet as you are missing some classes:

.hiddenField {
display: none;
}
.visibleField {
display: inline;
}

Try creating a new Canadian Account ...

Re: Zone shipping charging rate from zone 3 to zone 1

Same purchaser bought some more and same problem with shipping. I am at a loss as to why it is happening and it is doing very little for customer relations. This is the only customer this has happened to. What would happen if I deleted and had him reset himself up? Would I lose all previous orders from that customer?

Re: Zone shipping charging rate from zone 3 to zone 1

Has your customer tried to edit his Account and check his address records and just tried to hit Edit then Update to see if there are any errors?

Have you tried to look at his customers record and address_book record(s) to see if they are built correctly?

Everything appears to be correct under customers. He has not tried to Edit. First order was fine but last 2 had problems.

Did you check the:
address_book

for this customer's records?

Are they all correct?

Checked and seems to be correct. I compared it to another Canadian address and looks similar with the same country ID and zone ID

Re: Zone shipping charging rate from zone 3 to zone 1

I am back and now have no idea what is happening with zone shipping. the one that was incorrect before, worked out properly for 1 sale and then to the same customer, had the same error as previous. Also, I now had thwe same problem with a zone 2 which is the US, calculated shipping for zone 3. Would it do me any good to reset up the zones since it seems to be sporadic and hit and miss. I am at a loss, getting frusrated, and upsetting buyers. Any and all help would be appreciated
