Could someone help me figure out how to start?

Hi everyone,
At the risk of sounding very very silly, I would appreciate anyone's help in telling me how to set up something like this for my website:

"I have an existing website and would like to set up a page so that customers can choose from a list of 'Softcopy Documents' to purchase. Once they have chosen, I would like them to go to a pay (live payment-ie automatically with cc) and then once the payment is true be automatically transfered to a SECURE page to download the document. The customer should only be allowed to download it then, and not have access to it anymore (on my site) once the download is completed."

I am very new to online carts and the concept of "pay then download" and therefore would like to know some options on how this can be done and if ZENCART is my option.

Some further information:

• Am hosting my website with Linux
• Comes with fantastico that can install it for me ( 1.3.8a )

Other questions:

• Do i need to use something like paypal with this or will Zencart cover it all?

First, Zencart isn't designed to be an add-on cart for your existing website. The best idea is to create your site using Zencart. If you want, you can place Zencart in a subdomain of your site, with a link to it from your main site, and style Zencart to look the same.

You will need some payment processor (Paypal or another). Zencart can't do that part.
