Return to the Product list

I have a customer that wants this button, the Return To Product Listing, to take the shopper back to the product list on the page that they came from.

Currently when you click on this button it takes you back to the beginning of the category. When there are several dozen pages of products in the category the shopper must either remember what page they were on or browse through every product in the category again.

Is there a way to go from the product page to its category list original page (page 8 of 20) and not back to the beginning of the category list (page 1 of 20) ?

Just add this little javascript anywhere in your shop:

<a href="javascript: history.go(-1)">Back</a>

This takes the customer back to the previous page in their history. If you edit the figure 1 to say 3 you'll bring the customer back three steps.

If you want to display a standard submit button then type this

<form><input type=button value="Back" onClick="history.go(-1)"></form>

but if customers click next or prev button, it will not work as desired, it's better that the listing button can link to the category at it's original page number instead of always back to the first page.
