Google checkout and gift messages

Does anyone know how to get the google checkout module to deal with gift messages.

To explain further, at checkout (google) I need to be able to add a gift message, I know this is possible, it is described in the link below, but how this is integrated with zen cart I am not sure.

I find eventually this is a dumb question

for anyone else stuck on this do your gift messaging using the product attributes instead of message to vendor on checkout, its much better.
