Bold and Spaces in Categories

Simalar to this question

On the main page ss there a way to have my categories seperated and the main categories in Bold like this? I don't want the bold words linked by a URL.

And also is there a way to put a Space in between each category on the main page?

My categories look very cluttered

Example:

Mens Clothing
Poloshirts
Singlets

Womens Clothing
Poloshirts
Singlets

Stickers & Decals
Car
Music
Cartoons

etc
etc
etc

Anyone?

A little tricky to understand, but works well.

Also this, which would give you some styling control:
