Coupons and PayPal EC

I have a problem with coupon and PayPal EC.

total: 90.00 eur
VAT 20%: 0.20 eur
Coupon: ecrfwerfq5f2018ae10 : -5.00 eur
Group discount 98%: -83.30 eur
Shipping (VAT inclusive): 1.20 eur

Total: 2.90 eur (correct)

The problem is that i've choosen PayPal EC as payment method, but the order has been closed as payed with coupon !!!!

Any suggestion?

Maybe that because most payment was covered by the Coupon (5EUR) and only 2.90EUR was paid with Paypal? You can try it again with a 1EUR Coupon and 99.99% group discount and a rest payment of more than 1EUR?

BTW: You pricing structure seems bit strange anyway.

No, 2.90 was unpaid, paypal method of payment has not been used (no redirection to paypal.com).
How is it possible?

I can replicate the problem.

I make an example for you.

Example 1 - Low order amount without COUPON

total: 90.00 eur
VAT 20%: 0.20 eur
Group discount 98%: -88.20 eur
Shipping (VAT inclusive): 1.20 eur

Total: 3.00 eur

Action: PAYMENT with PAYPAL EC -> success -> redirect to PAYPAL
So what happens now:

• 3.00 payed through PayPal
• method of payment displayed: PayPal

Example 2 - Low order amount with COUPON

total: 90.00 eur
Coupon: ecrfwerfq5f2018ae10 : -5.00 eur
Group discount 98%: -83.30 eur
Shipping (VAT inclusive): 1.20 eur

Total: 2.90 eur (correct)

Action: PAYMENT with PAYPAL EC -> error -> not redirect to PAYPAL
So what happens now:

• 2.90 is not payed anymore
• method of payment displayed: Gift/Coupon

What is the problem?

I think that in the second case, ZenCart do the following:

• 90*0.02 (- 98% discount)
• 1.8 + 1.2 (shipping costs added)
• 3.0 - 5.0 (coupon is used).
  total = -2.0
  So paypal is skipped and gift/coupon is choosed as method of payment, but it's not correct!!!!

What do you think about?
How can i solve this?
