Free Shipping icon not showing on some products

I loaded many products that have free shipping, but the Free Shipping icon isn't showing.

Yet, I have added another product that does show the Free Shipping icon.

I have everything set exactly the same. So, why does it show up on some and not others?

Please advice if this is a bug. Could it be because the products were added before I set up the shipping icon? Would I have to start from scratch? I have tried editing them, but no luck.

On the Products setup as Product Free Shipping product type, the icon is set to automatically show and the default on Always Free Shipping is set to Yes ...

On the Product General, these are not the default settings ...

You can change the settings in the Catalog ... Product Type ... EDIT LAYOUT ...

Note: products_id 245 is setup as Product General and not as Product Free Shipping ...

I checked again the product type for id 245....so I must be missing something.

This product is in a subcategory as follows:

Decorative Slates....which is set to Free Shipping....at the bottom it says "This Category has been restricted to these Product Types
Product - Free Shipping"

Then I have the subcategory of Cats ....which is set to Free Shipping....at the bottom it says "This Category has been restricted to these Product Types Product - Free Shipping"

And then under Clocks........which is set to Free Shipping....at the bottom it says "This Category has been restricted to these Product Types Product - Free Shipping"

So, I am not sure why you see it as being set to General. I must be missing something. How can you tell?

Looking in the SQL tables the image for Product Type - Free Shipping showed freeshippingicon.jpg .... yet the image on my working product is always-free-shipping.gif

Which image is supposed to be under the product type - free shipping? I did try changing it, but that didn't help. So, I have put it back to freeshippingicon.jpg as originally showed.

Look at the URL ... one is using:
product_info

and one is using:
product_free_shipping_info

If you browse your products database in phpMyAdmin and search for products_id 245 (showing as Product General) ... what is the products_type value?

What is the products_type value on products_id 388 (showing as Product Free Shipping) ... do they match?

Yes, I see that it is wrong in phpMyAdmin....thank you for showing me that!

Unfortunately, I don't understand why they are showing as general, since I do have the category and all of the sub categories set to Product Types Product - Free Shipping.

I wish I didn't add over 380 products before realizing this. I don't know how to fix it without changing each product individually in phpMyAdmin.

Any further thoughts?

Fix the products manually and then watch for any others that get added incorrectly ...

At this time, I cannot reproduce the error when the Category is set to one Product type only ...

I can't get the Free Shipping Icon to appear when I mark the Product as always free shipping-

I figured out the issue with free shipping not displaying- But now that I can get it to come on it doesn't display any of the item that are supposed to appear above it-

I want it to appear directly under "add to cart" and it looks like it's in the right place in the PHP but nothing that was supposed to appear above it does-

With out "free Shipping"

Hi, I was having an issue with the FREE shipping button showing up on the product display page. I did these steps and I just want to make sure this is correct.

1. Product Types/Product Free Shipping Y

2. When I add a product to the catalog I check the box "Yes, Always Free Shipping"

3. Product Types/Product Free Shipping Image Status - Catalog Yes.

My shipping button appears. :wub:

How do I remove the free shipping icon from those pages and just have it show up on product display?
