Drop shipping for some items and flat rate for others

I can't seem to find out how to do drop shipping in my store. I only want it for a few items while the other items remain on a flat rate shipping base. So, I guess what I'm asking is can both be used in the same store and how do I do it?

And what happens when the customer buys a mixed cart of Products where some are Drop shipped and some are Flat Rate? :unsure:

I'm not sure. Maybe there's a way to split a order into two when there's a mix of the two types of products.

Zen Cart is not designed for multiple shipping methods in the same order ...

You would have to write your own shipping module to manage this type of shipping ...

You have to see what options are available with your drop shipper ...

Sometimes shippers or payment method providers will have code to work with various software that can be used for obtaining prices ...
