Help with lining up my product listings vertically

There are two things I'd like to do on my product listing pages, example here: http://metroamp.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=54

1.) I'd like to apply the <h3 class="itemTitle"> tag to the price ($lc_price). I found the location on includes/modules/product_listing.php but I can't make it work.

        $lc_align = 'right';
        $lc_text =  $lc_price;

2.) I would like to vertically align to TOP all the cells in the Product Listing table on the same page. I have had only limited success with css (vertical-align property seems to be ineffective) and includes/templates/template_default/common/tpl_tabular_display.php

I just can't find the spot where the <tr> bits are to add valign="top"
