Catagories Vanishing

v1.3.8a
Fresh Install

When I visit the site I see all the catagories on the sidebox, however when refreshing/visiting another page they vanish

Any ideas?

you've got several errors in code that may be causing this. Try fixing these and see what happens.

I understand that these errors are not good - and am in the process of fixing - however there is nothing there to explain why the catagories would show up at the start of the session, but not after.

If it is indeed a fresh install with no mods, I can't think of anything else to try till the errors stop.
