Prev and Next button do not show products in order

Hi, my client has set up their products in a certain order. However when using the prev and next buttons the products appear in what seems random order.
Any way to sort that?

Hi Ajeh, thanks for replying. Perhaps I did not explain it well enough.

My client has set up an order for hair dye products that goes in in colour order and within that how strong the colour is.

If you click on a products you see it and then have a Prev and next button to move to the next product in that catagory. However the products do not come up in the order defines with the Sort Order value but in some random order (Perhaps based on which were listed first). I am looking for a way to make it appear in that same order as the catagory list.

Hi Oba-san I have tried setting the value of 6a but this seems to make no difference and according to the notes blank (Which was the original setting) is the same as 6 and I assume the "a" is for ascending?

Any further thoughts appreciated.

6a ... but you say you are using the Sort Order set on the Product itself for the Product Listing ...

What happens if you set it to Blank for:
NOTE: Leave Blank for Product Sort Order. Sort the Product Listing in the order you wish for the default display to start in to get the sort order

Can you set that to Blank as in nothing in the input box and see what it does to your display on the Product Listing ...

If you have assigned a Sort Order to each of your Products and want to use that on the Product Listing you need this set to Blank, as in nothing ...

Hi I see where the confusions is. In my third posting I said the following
"blank (Which was the original setting)" I asssumed there was some other setting you were trying to indicate I should change.

To clarify my original setting was blank in this field and I changed it to 6a as per your instructions. This gives the correct sort order for a "Listing" but does not apply this "Sort by numbers" to the "Prev" or "Next" buttons that appears when you click on an item in that list.
