Product image question

How can you put a pic as the say New product of the month or featured product but when you click on the little thumbnail it will load the product details page but be a bigger and totally different image? I have not been able to find this and it is probably something easy i am just missing. Thanks in advance.

Are you using Image Handler?

If not, it's straightforward. Say your normal product image was called blue-widget.jpg, then you can name the bigger image blue-widget_MED.jpg and put it into the images/medium folder. You may want to put a bigger still version of the 2nd image named blue-widget_LRG.jpg in the images/large folder.
