Different 'Product info page' layouts for different products

Is it possible to make different 'Product info page' layouts for different products? I would like to make one layout for one product and another layout for another product.
I would assume I would need to edit or make more instances of includes/templates/classic/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php but how can it be done?? :shocking:

The magic words are "product type". If you define different product types, each type can have its own product display page tailored to the specific needs of that type, and products can then be allocated to types to use those layouts,
