You could use the blank sidebox mod from the free downloads section and insert your code in there. If you have problems it can be helpful to look at other sidebox code from other modules, but your purpose seems pretty straightforward and the instructions with the blank sidebox are good.

I followed instructions but it did not show up on my zencart site. I use a Lavender template but I thought it would work like it said in the Includes/languages/english/......
If there is another place it should be...please let me know
