Adding a Space between the Currency and the "Symbol Right"

I want my currency to display as "$100 CAD". Currently when I set Symbol Right to " CAD" it strips the space in the beginning. So I changed it to " CAD". While this displays properly on the site and the email confirmation, I'm worried it may have messed something else up somewhere in the site. I assume someone has done this in the past, can you confirm that it is okay?
