Specials not showing on main page

Hi, I have searched and found how to get the specials to show on the main page, (which was already set up to do anyway), but it is still not showing.

I'm assuming to get the Specials box to show on the main page is under "Index Listing". I have even changed the order to different numbers but it is still not showing.

Does anyone have any idea why it is not showing?

Since the 'Specials' link doesn't appear in your Categories box, I wonder if you actually have any specials activated.

I should have mentioned that you can see the specials when you go to the particular item or the category I have on sale but just not on the home page.

I have just worked out that Specials and Sale Maker are two different things. In order to get your specials to be shown on the home page they have to be done one by one via the Specials tab under Catalog and not the "Salemaker" tab.

Is there any reason why creating specials using the Salemaker tab (a much quicker and easier process when discounting whole categories) does not show on the main page.
