Images with links on home page

Hi

I need some help with putting images of the main product categories on my home page. I want them to have links to the relevant pages.

I tried using featured products but then I get a description of the individual product and price and not the name of the category.

Also on my EZ pages I want add some photos. When I try and do this it asks for an http reference to the image - what do i do?

I searched the forum for this and so please point me in the right direction. I need the same thing except that I would be happy to have links even instead of images. Is there a way of doing this?

The problem I am having is that the categories box is very small to view on the iphone and so the users don't see that they have to click on the sub category to view the product listing. So I am trying to avoid that by placing links in teh main page that they click on... kinda like the old HTML Code.
