Remove Product Info/Detail Images?

Is there a way to turn off product images on the product detail? Or do I have to manually edit the tpl_product_info_display.php file? I want to have the product thumbnail images available for category listings, featured products, etc, but for the actual product detail page I want to have something different, more like a banner. How would I do that? My thought is to paste html in the product description section that calls the banner. Does that sound like the best answer?

Nothing fundamentally wrong with this.. just understand that the process will be manual - each product description will require manual input of the relevant html.

Many "switches" are located in the admin console, so always look there first to see if there is a "toggle" to render or hide the display (or function) of a particular element.

The "display: none" declaration is however, very useful for components and functions that are NOT toggled in admin.

Be careful how you use it though... Some <DIV ID's> and <DIV CLASSES> are shared with other pages... using "display: none" in a general stylesheet will give a sitewide result.

Clever use of Specific Stylesheets can help, though. See the README in the classic template's css folder for specific stylesheet configurations.
