Problems with ff and ie 7,8

Hello all,

I've read through a ton of these types of issues and appologize in advance but I just can't figure out these last few issues with my site. One is the drop down in FF shows behind the sidebox titles and behind product names. You'll need to get off the home page to see it. Also in ie the navigation bar is just plain messed. Names don't show and the drop downs aren't working.

Into the bottom of your stylesheet (includes/templates/yourtemplate/css/stylesheet.css) add the following line:

.dropdown{z-index:3;}

It is a bit of a fudge rather than solving the entire issue but it will work to put the dropdowns in front of everything else.

I can't test at the momet in IE so can't be of much help there. Which versions is it not working in? I suspect that you have an issue with the way IE interprets position:absolute and position:relative.

Thank you so much Nicol. That actually helped solve a bunch of issues. I can't get my site to look right in IE 7. The drop downs don't work and when my mouse rolls over the nav bar the titles disappear. Also the position of Login and Home above the nav bar are positioned differently in IE 7. FF is perfect now and IE 7 is closer.
