Lost my header

I was changing the look of my site around via the style sheet and I accidentally deleted my header information. I had made a graphic image and uploaded it originally to be the header. Can someone tell me the right coding to put back in the sheet to get the header back up to where I can put it back as an image? I would also like the page to be about 1000 pixels wide and would really like coding for that also (or at least to know where to go to change that part).

How can I center my header so it is the same size as the store body? How do I make the entire store/page area wider around 1000px?
