Require extra information when customer registers

Hi There,

I've searched for ages trying to solve this but had no luck!

I want to add an extra text box in the customer registration page asking them how they found us and make it a required field.

I've looked at the "How did you find us" mod but I'm not that confident in installing it. I thought it might be easier to add the extra text field.

Please somebody point me in the right direction.

I'd use the mod.

The installation is straightforward, and only requires renaming one folder (includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE) before uploading.

Installing this will give you some experience with mods, so you'll be more confident with them in the future.

Adding a field to a page is pretty easy, but if you want it to be stored or displayed anywhere, it's a lot more work.
