A few questions about Google Checkout settings in Admin?

In my admin panel, I'm trying to configure the right settings for using Google Checkout, and some of them I just don't understand. Can I get some help?

1. Carrier Calculated Shipping Configuration.
   Right now everything is just set to zero. We may never have any shipping charges, because everything to this point is virtual. Should I just leave this where it is? Or is there anything I need to change on it?

2. .htaccess Basic Authentication Mode.
   Right now this is set to false. I kow our site uses PHP & CGI, or it's capable of using it. It's enabled on our server. Can someone explain to me what the difference is between setting this to true or false... and how to configure the .htaccess file if it does need to be set to true? I don't understand.

3. Cart Expirations.
   This is set to 0 by default. We are selling only virtual, downloadable products. How do I know what we should set this to?

Hi... I've installed the Google Checkout module. Trying to tweak it to get it to do what I want to do, but had 2 other questions about processing orders.

1. Even after installing Google Checkout and setting it as the 'default' checkout method, the 'Go to Checkout Now' button still shows up next to the Google button in someone's shopping cart.

For right now, we only want Google Checkout to process payments. How can I turn off the other option? It's going to be way too confusing to leave both.

2. If we are using Google Checkout, what would the benefit be to still having people create an account through our Zen Cart? Would you still keep that option?
