Is it possible to show a unique product ID on website through zencart?

There is a model # that if not being used could provide what you seek

Good idea, but unfortunately I am using model # as manufacturer ref number, any other options for me?

One would have to add a record to the Database table.
Also, code for both admin & store front to be able to see and manage it from the admin.
Fully attainable with custom coding but not simple enough to walk one through it in a forum environment.
Have a look at the "product type" tutorials
Or you can post your requirements in the commercial help wanted area and get an idea of what this will take

You can also use the product_ID from the database and display this on the product page. This is unique and you dont have to manage it youself.

Unless I am mistaken...They already have specific id's they wish to use
