Edit cart text: Shopping Cart [more] ?

Hi There,

I was wondering how I can edit the text that appears in the shopping sidebox after you add an item:

Shopping Cart [more]

I want to edit the text itself to : My Shopping Cart

and the size of the text.

any advice appreciated!

Thanks!

That wasn't the plan!

Re: Edit cart text: Shopping Cart [more] ?

Start by searching in Tools > Developers Toolkit for [more] to find the file and line number where it is defined. Change the '[more]' to '' (two single quotes).
Do the same for Shopping Cart, and change that definition from 'Shopping Cart' to "My Shopping Cart'.

Do you want to change only that one sidebox heading's font size? Then find the id of the sidebox (look in view source to find <div id="whatever" ) and add to your stylesheet

#whateverHeading {font-size: 1.2em;}

or 0.8em or whatever ratio you want.

Re: Edit cart text: Shopping Cart [more] ?

Hi There,

I tried searching for: "[more]" or '[more]' and cannot find it in the developer toolkit.

I have checked the shopping cart php files that I could find and cannot find 'Shopping cart [more] anywhere. (Though I have found it 'once' a few days ago)

yodgee.com.au if you wish to have a look.

As for the CSS I will give that a try tomorrow.

Thanks

Re: Edit cart text: Shopping Cart [more] ?

Strip the quotes before searching.

You won't find
Shopping cart [more]
in any one place in the code because that is output by two different constants combined.

Re: Edit cart text: Shopping Cart [more] ?

Hi There,

Thanks.

I was able to edit the shopping cart [more] through /includes/languages/Mytemplatename/english.php

I searched using dev tool for whole name without quotes.. grrr!
I don't know why they are seperated as they are the same link??
Oh well.

As for the text sizing.. this was no problem.

H3#shoppingcartHeading {
font-size: 1.1em;
}

I'm still having trouble with the color though.

I'm happy with the color (blue) and is displays as this in IE and Firefox.

It displays as white in Chrome. Any idea why this is?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Edit cart text: Shopping Cart [more] ?

Apparently Chrome handles some CSS configuration differently from FF and IE... perhaps because the heading is a link? Try explicitly styling the heading link:

h3#shoppingcartHeading {
    font-size: 1.1em;
    }
h3#shoppingcartHeading a {
    color: #0000ff;
    }
```Adjust the color to suit.
aghh..
Thanks you that worked a treat.
As you mentioned it requires specific styling as it is a link.
Thanks for all your help.
