Some Customers Can't Log In with Firefox

I just installed Zen Cart, added some products, set up SSL, etc. Then I tried to place a test order. I am able to create an account but in Firefox I can't log in. At first it just reloaded the log in page, now it takes you to the home page. I have no idea what I did to make it do that. In IE it works fine.

I'm using version 1.3.8.

I don't have any addons.

Besides adding products I think the only changes I've made were setting the email settings and setting SSL up in the config files.

Ideas?

Nevermind. I found that going to Admin>Configuration>Sessions>Recreate Sessions and setting it to false worked. I don't understand it, but it seems to have done the trick.

You really do not want to set that to false and it would be better to discover the cause of the real problem ...

If you could switch that back to true and perhaps let us test an URL perhaps we can help you fix this issue ...

I'm having the same problem, and like the OP, setting Recreate Sessions to false fixes it.

I'm able to log in with Safari, but with Fire Fox, it just goes back to the home page and never logs me in.

The only thing I can think of is I installed SEO URLs about 2 weeks ago, though if I turn that off, the problem still occurs.

I'm using:

ZenCart 1.3.8a
Server OS: Linux 2.6.18-128.4.1.el5
Database: MySQL 5.0.81-community
PHP Version: 5.2.10 (Zend: 2.2.0)

All of a sudden it's working, and I don't really know why.

I read another thread that said suhosin was causing the problem. I don't have that, but tried turning off suexec. This didn't fix it. Turned it back on.

I tried disabling SEO URLs, and that didn't fix it. Turned it back on.

I emptied Firefox's cache, and that didn't fix it.

I took my daughter ice skating and then tried it again, and now I'm able to log in with Firefox. I'm guessing that didn't have anything to do with it though. :)
