Password Protected Categories (PPC) - Support Thread

Also - does/can this connect to the ZenCart user/pass or is this separate?

I want them to click the ZC login and when they do, be presented with ONLY the categories they are to have access to.

Perhaps something that connects "Shopping Groups" with certain "Categories".

It would seem you're confusing this mod with the one you're referencing above. They are two separate mods. Go back to the very first post in this thread posted by Stevish and go to the bottom of his post. There you'll find the correct download link for this mod.

Have read every post in this thread trying everything everyone has suggested....anyone had any success installing this into ZC 139h (what I'm running)? Having the same problem Robinsgj had with inputting a password in the category but can still access the passworded category seeing all products.

I have been in touch via e-mail with the author of this mod, Stevish, and he stated he no longer supports this mod in any form so anyone attempting to use it are on their own.

Anyone have any success in getting this mod to work in 139h? I password a category but when clicking on it can still go into the category without being asked for a password. Have followed the instructions to the letter. Anyone?

Just added this to zencart v1.3.9.h, on a website running mysql 5.1.5.

Followed instructions, had to add a few files in my CUSTOM directories.

BTW, regarding which "BOF FORM CLOSED"?, i put the string after the first one.

able to create a category, assign a password; prompted for password when i clicked the category; was able to add products to cart from protected and unprotected categories, logged off, logged on and needed to reenter password (per session, as noted). Was able to find products in passwords protected category (w/o entering password) using search, but was not able to add to cart.

Has anyone got this to work on ZC 1.5.0? I am new to ZC and just installed 1.5.0. I am setting up a professional photography site and want my customers to be able to proof their photos and order them. BUT, I want them password protected so they are private.

Setting up a similar thing and it works fine for me on 1.5.

Hopefully this finds you still on....Now that ZenCart has you change the admin folder to a different name do you have to modify the pages to show the changed name of the admin folder. I have installed the password info as stated and when I go to categories in the admin field it is not there.

Cooper did you have to change anything in the pages to point to your admin cart name since 1.5 has you change the name of the admin folder
