Panic - Orders are suddenly not showing up in Admin :S

yeah, I did that before, but to make sure this error had nothing to do with that move, I just changed it back for the moment. will fix this later :P

and like I wrote earlier, I can change the status from within the database, and that change is being reflected here. that's good, at least :)

If the orders are actually in the database, in the orders table, but not showing in some screens, then the problem is definitely related to the orders_status setting being applied to the orders.
That's common when someone chooses a certain order-status inside a payment module, but then goes to Admin->Localization->Orders Status and deletes that option from the list. Thus a 0 is assigned when the order is completed, making it not match any of the appropriate values, and thus doesn't show up.

But I'm afraid this is not the problem. I have not touched the orders status settings, and the orders seems to get correct order status when they are placed.

This is a part of my main admin window :

I can change the status of these orders from the database as well.

All of my payment modules have "default" as "order status setting", except for paypal, where I'm using the recommended values.

Any other ideas, please? :)

hmm please explain, not sure what you mean here.

all payment modules order status settings are default, except for paypal, which is using recommended values.

Almost every order have the order_status 2 , when viewing the database. I had set every payment module to "processing" for some reason, thought it sounded better than pending :P

but I've changed back to pending now, so every order placed now get's "1" ... they still don't appear in admin, though.

I'm happy most customer won't notice this error, but still, it would feel a lot better for me if I felt that my new webshop works 100% :)

More suggestions are warmly welcome here... :P

So, if you use the search field on the Orders screen to look up an existing order by its number, and then open that order's details, and go down to the bottom left and change its order status (via the pulldown) to another value, and click the submit button, does that order now properly show up in the orders list again?

If you can do the search on the orders_id as DrByte suggested and find the order ... could you peek in the Modules ... Order Totals ... and check that you have the Total ot_total installed ...

Sadly, not. I was glad I was able to see the orders though. But changing the order status did not make them visable in the main admin. damn it... I really had my hopes up this time :)

Wow Linda...

It was installed, but deactivated.

And now I remember it all... I am having problem with a payment module, a Swedish invoice service thing. When I have the ot_total module installed, they recieve both the ot_total value AND the ot_pretotal value, making the invoices twice as expensive.

But this is another problem I must look in to today.

A final question - Is there a way to "fix" the old orders, made without the ot_total module? So they are visable in the users account info area again.

To fix the old orders, you would need to add a record the table:
orders_total

for the order_id that is not showing ...

Make a good order to see how the record should look to get the right Sort Order etc. on the record ...
