HELP! My cart settings keep resetting!

I am at my wits end. I recently installed Zen Cart and used a Template from Zen Flavor (Premium 7) as my base for the cart. I then went in and made a bunch of modifications to the template (added categories, links in the header bar, new banners, etc.). Everything was fine for the day but just now I refreshed my browser window where I was viewing the cart and the cart had completely reset to the green classic template!

Is this a problem with Zen Cart? My host server? My template? Now I'm scared to make anymore changes because I don't want to have to go through and set things up completely again. Plus, if it's this unstable in testing, I can't trust it for my store.

Has anyone head a similar situations? Know a fix? Thanks!

I am using the following setup:
Zen Cart 1.3.8
Zen Flavor Template (Premium 7)
Hosting thru hostgator.com
Linux server

Thanks,

Balin

Re: HELP! My cart settings keep resetting!

First I would FTP your whold set of files to your PC.
Then note generally the file dates of files on the server.
always make changes to the local file and upload it to your server
This way you always have the current/same files as are on the server.

Make your customizations. and note which files you upload as they will have the date of the day uploaded.

If this happens again - cross check soe of the files that you recently uploaded for the date.

If they are not the dates that you uploaded but earlier then armed with this info you can get with your host and confront them with the situation

It is not a ZenCart issue!!!
