Can the cross sell mod "We Als Recommend" box display on the shopping cart page?

My goal is to get a "We Also Recommend" box below the shopping cart page. If they buy just a door and add that to the shopping cart, I want them to be recommended hardware for the door on the shopping cart page.

Cross Sell Mod sort of does this, but only on the product page. I tried pasting the code on the template for shopping cart with no luck. Any ideas of how I can do this?

I am sure it can be done...
However it normally displays on the the product info page gathering cross sell data for the product displayed.

On the checkout page you would need to work out if you wanted cross sell for the first listed product only
or
if you wanted cross sell info for all of the items listed in the shopping cart.
Then you would need to work out a way to limit it and still get a representative sample of cross sell products for the items in the cart.

You need to think about how you want this to work first.

Thanks for your response as it made me realize something. I agree! I will be sure to tell my client this. If there are a bunch of items on the shopping cart, each of them having different cross sell items, it would be very cluttered and difficult to recommend products for everything in the shopping cart. I feel it should only be on the product info page for that particular item.
