Make them CHMOD 644

Hello,

I apologize if this is the wrong spot to post this.

My html_includes folder is currently set to 755. When I attempt to switch this to CHMOD 644 the body of my home page(including new products for September) disappears and only the header and side box remain. All of my other pages seem okay.

I would like to be able to change this because it is a security recommendation shown on the Zen Cart site.

Would you know what might cause this??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.:(

ZC1.3.8 with security patch installed
MySQL 5.0.81
PHP 5.2.9

If the page won't display, then that means you've set the permissions too low for your particular server. You'll likely need to use a higher value for your server's configuration.
Normally it's quite safe to leave folders set at 755, and the files inside those folders set at 644.
Maybe you mistakenly set the folder to 644, which would break things.

I did set the folder to 644. I changed the folder back to 755 and the files in the folder to 644 and that worked fine.
